The alpina Smart home indoor motion sensor is an essential product for intruder protection. Burglars today often enter your home fairly quietly, but thanks to this modern motion sensor they can't walk through the house unseen. The sensor has a detection distance of 5 metres and a radiation angle of 120 degrees. This makes it easy to pick up any kind of movement. As soon as movement is detected, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. Make sure that you have connected the motion sensor to the free downloadable alpina Smart home app. NOTE: The motion sensor can only be used in combination with the Zigbee Gateway.

alpina Smart home app and easy installation

When the alpina Smart home motion sensor detects movement in its environment, it can send an alarm or push notification to your phone. This is done via the special alpina Smart home app that you can download for Android and Apple in the Google Play Store and the App Store. To connect the motion sensor to the alpina Smart home app, select the option 'add sub-device' in the app. Press and hold the reset button on the alarm for at least 5 seconds until the indicator light comes on. Once the installation is complete you can start using the motion sensor.

Detection up to 5 metres

The alpina Smart home Motion Sensor has a maximum detection distance of up to 5 metres. This means that the motion sensor can detect any kind of movement up to a distance of 5 meters and a beam angle of 120 degrees. This way, you can be sure that no burglar or unwanted guest will walk through your home unnoticed. When the motion sensor detects movement, it sends an alarm to your smartphone via the alpina Smart home app.

Timetables and reminders

When you're at home during the day, you don't want the motion sensor to send you an alarm all the time. Often it is you yourself who are walking through the house. That's why the alpina Smart home Motion Sensor allows you to set up time schedules to switch the motion sensor on or off. To make sure the motion sensor is switched on in time, you can also set a reminder. Both of these can be done easily within the alpina Smart home app.

Zigbee Gateway

Because the motion sensor cannot connect to your wifi network independently, you can only use the door sensor in combination with the Zigbee Gateway. Within the alpina Smart home range, various products can be connected with each other. Think of the window or door sensor, the climate sensor, the leakage alarm and the vibration sensor. This all takes place via the separately purchased Zigbee Gateway. With this Zigbee Gateway, you can connect up to 50 different alpina Smart Home devices together, allowing them to communicate with each other. The operation and settings of each device, including the Zigbee Gateway, can be edited with the alpina Smart home app.
